The Tenor wind chime from Music of the Spheres®, Inc. is 60" long from the knot to the wind catcher. It uses 2" diameter tubing and weighs 28 pounds.
These wind chimes sound beautiful and can be mixed using selected tunings and sizes that will overlap and harmonize. We recommend that when you mix tunings, you do so with either the same size or with only one step in-between. For instance, if you're getting a Tenor wind chime as part of an ensemble, you would either get a second Tenor or the next step up, a Bass wind chime, or even one size smaller, the Alto wind chime.
Claude Debussy, inspired by Balinese music at the 1896 Paris Exposition, began composing with this atonal scale. Later, television's original Star Trek used it in the "beaming up" sequences. Film scores often feature the whole tone scale during underwater scenes, dream sequences and "flashbacks."
