The Mezzo Soprano wind chime from Music of the Spheres®, Inc. is 40" long from the knot to the wind catcher. It uses 1 3/16" diameter tubing and weighs 6 pounds.
These wind chimes sound beautiful and can be mixed using selected tunings and sizes that will overlap and harmonize. We recommend that when you mix tunings, you do so with either the same size or with only one step in-between. For instance, if you're getting a Mezzo Soprano wind chime as part of an ensemble, you would either get a second Mezzo Soprano or the next step up, an Alto wind chime, or even one size smaller, the Soprano wind chime.
The ancient Gypsy scale is still used widely from northern Africa to the Baltic region. If you wish to mix tunings, the Gypsy's exotic mix of piquant strains and haunting melodies blends well with the Japanese scale.
